Katelios is one of the most picturesque bays in south Kefalonia with a variety of restaurants along the beach,where you can try the traditional tastes of the island as well as the famous local wines.Here you can enjoy your food or drink accompanied with a sea view or lead next to Santa Barbara beach,rewarded with the European Union's blue flag due to the sea's cleanliness.
A few words on hiking route Katelios-Pastra…
For all hiking and adventure fans,starting from Ano Katelios you can explore the route that follows the way of the adjacent river and ends uphill at Pastra(finishing point opposite the municipality of Pastra ).The route,which is also offered for mountain-bike,has intermediate stops in places with vigorous vegetation, watermills and traditional wooden bridges.
